WILLAMETTE NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSING SERVICES
We are
a private, nonprofit community development corporation located
in the mid-Willamette Valley of Oregon. Our mission is the creation of safe,
decent, affordable housing
and healthy neighborhoods. We believe that a commitment to
diversity, economic justice, and opportunity is key to a vital
community.
We’re also a member of the NeighborWorks®
Network, a national affiliation
of 230 private nonprofit community development organizations
committed to community revitalization and supported by Neighborhood

A SUCCESS
STORY
Imagine your worst housing nightmare and you may get close
to what this couple have lived through. After
being evicted from their apartment because they complained
about substandard health and safety issues, they ended up
living with their two small children in a tent in the mountains
two hours from town.
While they took advantage of all the social services that
were available to them, it still took several months and amazing
persistence to find a place to live. Finally, there was an
opening at Lancaster Bridge. "If it weren’t for
Corvallis Neighborhood Housing Services building this place,
we wouldn’t have had a place to go," says Jane.
