Camas Commons consists of duplex and triplex townhouse apartments
in addition to 12 handicapped accessible units on a single
floor. Fifty of the 56 units are handicapped "visitable"
– that is, they were constructed so a person in a wheelchair
or with limited mobility can enter a neighbor’s apartment.
Units feature washer and dryer hookups and energy efficient
design and appliances. The site includes a large community
building with full kitchen, a children’s playroom, meeting
space, laundry facilities, and a computer room. It is beautifully
landscaped, and includes a large outdoor play area, a fenced
playground for young children, and a basketball court.
Camas Commons is adjacent to the city bus line and is within
.25 mile of the Sunset Shopping Center, .25 mile of the Sunset
Business Park, and 1.5 miles from Oregon State University.
Income eligibility: 50 units are affordable to households
earning 50% of Median Family Income or below; 6 units are
affordable to households earning 30% of Median Family Income
