MERGER ANNOUNCED BETWEEN NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSING AND LCAH

The Boards of Directors of Linn County Affordable Housing and Corvallis Neighborhood Housing Services are pleased to announce the merger of the two organizations and a new name: Willamette Neighborhood Housing Services

In the spring of 2006, the Boards of Directors of both organizations agreed there’s potential for a single organization, operating in both Benton and Linn counties, to be stronger, more efficient, and more effective than two organizations operating alone.

Since that time we’ve been working on a merger that results in a number of exciting changes for Neighborhood Housing:

  • Over the next 12 months we’ll acquire Linn County Affordable Housing’s multifamily rental properties. This growth in our housing portfolio will significantly strengthen our asset management activities and ability to make sure we’re providing high quality, well-managed housing for many years to come.
  • We are now a developer of affordable housing in both Benton and Linn counties. This expansion both increases the opportunities to pursue our mission and spreads out the risks of real estate development.
  • We operate a Linn County Housing Rehabilitation Program that works in partnership with seven cities and the unincorporated areas of Linn County.
  • We’re expanding the reach of our Homeownership Center, Financial Fitness Program, and the Linn-Benton MicroBusiness Program.
  • We have two offices: our main office in Corvallis and a branch office in Lebanon.

Along with our new name we have new staff contact information. Our office phone numbers remain the same, but we do have a new toll free number, new staff email addresses, and a new website address. All of current contact information is provided in the Contact Us section of this website.

What is not changing is our commitment to the communities we serve and to our mission: to improve lives and strengthen neighborhoods through quality affordable housing, homeownership, economic opportunity, and community partnerships.

Please let us know if you have any questions about the merger and our changing organization.
